Fitness: Clean House?

I don't know about you but a dirty house drives me nuts!

After having my baby my apartment just got out of control! Well, today I didn't really feel like working out, but I wanted to do something, so I decided to clean. I don't mean just put away some dishes and toss the dirty clothes into a basket. I'm talking hands and knees scrubbing of my kitchen floor! Also, after I finish here, I plan on scrubbing my entry way. The way my apartment is set up there is a small patch of tile right in front of the door, then carpet. The only other tile is in the kitchen and bathroom.
Are you big like me? Is scrubbing hard on your knees? Well, what I do is wear old clothes I don't mind getting dirty, I sit on the floor at the farthest part of the tile I am cleaning. I have a pot filled with hot water and sanitizer/cleaner (Pursue brand, I will post the link at the end of this entry!). I clean in a line, I scrub in front of me with a scrub brush, mop up the dirty water with a sponge a couple of times, then scoot back and do the next line. Before you know it you are in the door way and your floor sparkles!
This way you can get a clean floor, avoid stepping on it after you've cleaned it, and you don't have to hurt your knees!

I think from now on I will do this. On a day I don't want to workout, I'll clean! There are lots of things you can clean around your house that will take a little work. Vacuuming, scrubbing floors, dusting, making a bed, scrubbing your bathtub!

If I can think of any other easier ways to clean specific portions of your house I will definitely let you know!

I will have to remember this so I can get a little physical activity and keep my house clean! Think about it, even if you spend an hour cleaning every other day you will be working out 4 days a week and having time to relax all the while having a fresh, clean and shiny house!

I hope this helps someone, I googled and did not find much to help my "house cleaning workout" needs.

Thank you so much for stopping by today I appreciate it so much and I hope you have an AMAZING day!

Health and Fitness: Yoga & Nutrition Journal

Hello everyone!

Today I used yoga sequences by Esther on YouTube.com, www.youtube.com/user/yogatic.
I did the first two parts of her Yoga for weight loss series, the first is visualization and believe me don't skip it! I never thought of closing my eyes and imagining what I would look and feel like if I were thinner. It was a great tool!
My hands and wrists for some reason (probably my weight) have a hard time in some Yoga poses, specifically Downward Facing Dog. Other than that, the 2nd part of the weight loss series was great. A little more fast paced than her beginner series, but great nonetheless!
I also tried my hand at relaxation, it was a lot harder than I thought! Especially since my back felt achy at first, but toward the end, all the tense, achy feeling went away! And my back felt better for it. So if you need to relax, try it out!

Secondly I wanted to talk about keeping a Nutrition/Diet journal. I used to always think I had to diet to lose weight, but really it's just eating healthier, you don't have to starve and you don't have to eat nothing but lettuce and celery and drink 20 gallons of water a day! In the past all a journal of what I ate did was depress me!
So I encourage you to start one! But don't look at it like it is a running tally of how much you fail. Take a good look at what you eat and just make little changes.
For example; I started to look at what empty calories I was blindly consuming. Soda is a big one for me, I love soda, almost every flavor or form with the exception of Diet and Mountain Dew. But I used to just drink drink drink it all day long. Then I realized that just by replacing my soda 'snacking' between meals with water and saving the soda for a treat with my meals, I could save a lot of calories that could give me a better rounded and more filling meal!

Another thing I have started doing is salads. You don't have to kill yourself trying to make lettuce and vinaigrette into a decent meal. I for one hate vinaigrette dressings! So, instead of eating something you don't really like, or spending way too much on expensive salad blends, buy heads of whatever type of lettuce you like, I prefer Iceberg. My husband led me to discover chopping iceberg with the proper knife rather than tearing with your fingers leads to more crisp and juicy lettuce! I don't know if anyone else was mislead in this fact but I was, so no poking fun!
When I make my salads, I make it something I like. I use light ranch, iceberg lettuce, natural, real bacon bits (about a tablespoon) and some shredded real sharp cheddar cheese (about 2 tablespoons!) To me, a salad like that is divine! My favorite thing on salads is cheese and bacon. You give me those two things and I will skip the croutons in a heart beat!
So there is a healthier salad for my tastes! If you like the healthier ways of making salad by all means, but this is what helps me!

I also make it a point to workout 5-7 days a week. I didn't want to work out today, so I did around 20 minutes I believe, of yoga.

If you don't have the time to write down your daily munching on paper, look for a good and well resourced online nutrition/diet journal. I prefer the one from Babyfit (sparkpeople). If you haven't had a baby or are not pregnant, you might be more comfortable with another journal because I believe this one is specifically tailored for those two groups. So it might be giving you more nutrients a day then you need for just you, whereas a pregnant or nursing mother would need them.
What I love about this journal is that you search for a food, select it and fill in how much of it you had and it calculates everything for you! You are able to track many different nutrients, calories, carbs, fat, even selenium and zinc! I have rarely had to add a special food because it has such a good library of foods out there. It also saves your foods that you manually enter for future inputting!
I highly suggest this journal.

So, in summation;

1. Make small changes they make a big difference!
2. Keep track of what you eat but make it a positive learning experience!
3. Workout as much as possible with whatever type of workout works best for your body!
4. Be positive! Look at it as getting healthy and eating things that are good for you rather than all the good stuff you can't eat.

I didn't mention this before but it is also a good idea to remember, healthy weight loss that stays lost happens slowly, so if you only lose 1 pound a week that's great! You just have more of a chance of keeping it off!
If you are a instant gratification junkie like I am, you weigh yourself every day expecting a huge dip in your weight. Unfortunately it doesn't happen that way. So if you are weighing often and aren't seeing results or as much as you'd like, try to keep weighing to a minimum, about once a week. Or less often if it helps. The longer you wait the more chance you have to lose and the more you lose the more motivated and positive you will feel about the whole experience!

Positivity is a big part of weight loss, if you get depressed or negative about any part of your healthy lifestyle, it could go down the tubes tomorrow.

So keep your chin up and remember, you are worth fighting for!

I can see this entry is already getting ridiculously long so I will leave you with this.

YOU ARE WORTH IT.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I appreciate it so much.
I hope you are doing great and have an amazing day!

Review: Nail Polish- N.Y.C & BORGHESE

I decided to do some reviews! Today at CVS I picked up two nail polishes, N.Y.C. New York Color series, quick dry in color Manhattan and BORGHESE in a matte color B280 Rasberry Sorbetto C.
N.Y.C. was $1.99 and is a beautiful dark plum color, it is glossy but not shimmery so it is pretty matte, it goes on great. Unlike a lot of the less expensive, dark nail polishes that would have steaks of light and dark color, this smooths onto the nail very evenly. Also you can get away with only putting one coat, this is what also makes it different than most less expensive dark nail polishes. Usually when I get a cheap nail polish it is very watery and thin and it takes 2 or more coats of the polish to get the true color, I don't know about you but that drives me bonkers!
So overall I would give N.Y.C. New York Color quick dry nail polish 5 stars!

BORGHESE was normally retailed for $7.99 the color I got was 75% off and it is a matte pink, not full matte but pretty close, it is a little less glossy than the N.Y.C New York Color. It spread pretty well and smooth onto the nail and didn't require more than one coat which was good. If I were to give it the time to dry and put a second coat it would look even better, but for those of us who nail polish dries very slow on, a second coat would take very long with this thick polish. So unless you have time to kill I don't recommend a 2nd coat with this polish.

All in all it was money well spent, I don't think I would pay full price for BORGHESE but N.Y.C was worth it! I definitely think N.Y.C will become a staple in my polish collection, especially with my budget. The New York Color quick dry polishes to be specific. With a 7 month old who is starting to stand, I need quick dry!

I hope this review was helpful.
Thank you so much for stopping by today I appreciate it so much! Have an amazing day!

Baby: I was cryin' till I met you!

My baby goes through many different sleep cycles, she rotates! Some days she will sleep from the time I put her down until 5 or 6am when daddy leaves for work. Other days she wakes up at 2 or 3am to get a bottle and then she will go back to sleep for me anywhere from 5-7am. Then other nights like last night, she slept until 7:53am! It was so nice to have uninterrupted sleep! I just wish it was every night!

It wasn't easy to get to this level, I lost sleep, I had to hear her cry. It was rough, I won't lie. I am not a fan of the cry-it-out method, in fact I hated it. I thought that people who used it were bad and lazy parents. But to be honest I think it was the best thing for my baby. She used to stay up until 11 or 12 at night when we went to bed and she slept in the bed with us because it was easiest and we were breastfeeding, I would usually sleep until 10 or 11am.
It took 2 nights of crying for 30 minutes. Then when she woke up at 2, 3 or 5am I would bring her in bed, slowly that was phased out and I don't have to bring her into bed until 5am if at all.
She now has a bedtime ritual, she takes a bath at 8pm, gets a story and some snuggle time with mommy while she eats about half of her bottle. Then I put her in her bed with the rest of her bottle, I might have to go in a couple times and pick up her bottle when she drops it. Anywhere from 10-15 minutes later she is happy, full and asleep.
Like I said, I didn't believe in crying it out, and I still kind of don't.
I would have never let her cry more than an hour. I don't think it's healthy for them to cry for too long or when they are very young. My daughter was 6 months when we started having her sleep on her own. Now she is almost 7 months and sleeping great by herself. My husband and I finally get time to snuggle at night while we go to sleep (something we missed so much!).
It's better for the whole family.
I think that all babies are different, some will do great, others will take more love and reassurance when learning to sleep alone.

I found naps also play an important roll, for one they are good for establishing good sleep habits! My baby used to only sleep after I nursed her, which meant she slept on me which was okay when she was a little baby but she got big fast and it became uncomfortable for us both. Teaching her to sleep in her swing or bassinet for her naps has helped a lot too. Now she will sleep for 3-4 hours for her big nap, and an hour or two for her small nap early in the day.

I found good nap tips on this site
http://www.babysleepsite.com/

I hope things I've said help someone, I know I scoured the internet when I was thinking about my baby learning to sleep alone.
Do what is best for you and your baby!

Thank you for stopping by today I appreciate it so much, have an amazing day!

Fitness: Yoga

Hello everyone!

Again I just had to share some of my new found fitness knowledge!

I have been a subscriber on YouTube to this channel for quite a while, I did a little bit of the pregnancy Yoga, but that's about it. I have been trying to expand my workout choices, so far I have found that I like Envy Girls, which I found on Hulu, Dance Fitness! by Emily on YouTube, and now Yoga (Yogatic) on YouTube with Esther.

I have tried Yoga in the past, it was a VHS tape that was supposed to be for beginners but it was quite difficult, and having an 11 year background in Martial Arts I'm not really a beginner in terms of stretching and balance. But it's not like that with Yogatic videos, she has a series of 3 beginner lessons/workouts and I have to say...they were great!
Granted some moves I couldn't hold as long as she did but that's okay! Everyday will get better, I highly recommend and encourage you to give it a try! If you keep trying you will build up the strength right where you need it and one day you'll be doing the poses perfectly and holding them for the full time!
Like anything, it takes dedication and practice to get good at yoga. I'm not great at it, but I definitely plan on practicing!

If you do all of her beginner videos you are looking at about 21 minutes of great beginners Yoga. Like I said, if there is a pose that is too intense for you, just do the best you can to get into the pose, you will get better with practice. I can't touch my toes anymore but I'll get there and you can too!

I really hope you choose to join me on my health and fitness journey! If I can workout every day and drink more water believe me anyone can! I know that is such a cliche' but it is so true! I am a soda junkie and I love Mcdonalds just as much as the next girl. I guess there just has to be a point where enough is enough. I want to be a little slimmer, and no amount of wishing will make it so, only good hard work and determination!

I am a size 22-24 and I am just not happy with that, if I can get to a size 16 I would be happy with myself. Then again, who knows I might get there and say "That wasn't so hard!" and push for more. That would be cool, but right now I have a goal and I will get there.

So just set your goal and come up with a plan to get there! For me it is working out 5-7 days a week, drinking more water and eating more salad.

Need some motivation? I suggest the book 'The Slight Edge' it will change your life! It's about life not just health or finances. (I'm not paid to promote this book I just really love it!)

I really think this post is beginning to run away with me so I better cut it off for today!

Thank you for stopping by today I appreciate it so much! Stay positive and have an amazing day!

Me: Don't Sweat the Small Stuff

I love my husband. At the risk of sounding like a pile of sugar drenched in honey, he is my soul mate, my other half, the one. That is why when we argue about something silly like what to movie to watch, who didn't refill the ice trays it just makes me sad.
It's so funny, we never argue about money, house work, not putting gas in the car. All the normal things that couples fight about doesn't plague our relationship. But something small like not wanting to go to bed yet get feathers ruffled.
Our relationship isn't perfect, we aren't perfect, we're only human, but our relationship is close. We are the highlight of each others day, we have been together 2 years and 3 months and married for 2 months, and we still hold hands, say "I love you" multiple times a day and snuggle while we go to sleep.
He is the most amazing man and I am so lucky. I'm so blessed to have such an amazing relationship and to have the one person I am meant to be with.

So here's to love and just letting go.

Thanks for stopping by I appreciate it so much and I hope you have an amazing day!

P.S. Keep a look out for future posts and recaps of my journey into Yoga!

Fitness and Dance!

I just had to share this woman. She is on youtube and doing the most amazing thing! Dancing...but she's working out! And showing you how to do it too! She has a great array of songs to choose from, very different moves to each song, it's great for those who get bored or love music to work out to!
As you know I have been trying to work out every day, but not a bad week, 5 days out of 7 which is still great! I fully intend to incorporate this woman's workouts into my daily routine and I hope you do too! At least give her channel a look, I'm sure you'll find at least one song/workout that you'll love!

I hope we can continue on this fitness journey together, so far this week I have gained 2.5 pounds and then lost 3.5 pounds, so I am 1 pound down! I'm really excited to see my body change, I hope I can keep this up and stay motivated, and hopefully that is what Emily's videos will help me do.

I really hope you decide to give her workouts, or working out in general a try, it feels so good to be healthier, even after just one week, I breathe so much better, I crave a cigarette still, but it's wonderful breathing so clean and clear! So again, I hope you decide to get fit with me, or at least get a little healthier whether that is drinking more water, giving up smoking, or just eating more veggies!

The World: Too Young?

In today's world there is so much sex bombarding young girls. I personally like Miley Cyrus but I am 24 years old. I don't really think she is a good role model for her fan base, from what I hear is a lot of girls from ages 8 to 16 being the most common.

So what do you think? Are shorts just short of showing a girl's backside, overexposed cleavage and grinding hips really appropriate for 13 year old girls? In my opinion it's not. As a mother of a 7 month old girl, I would be horrified if my 13 year old walked around and looked as if she was 16. What happened to kids being kids? I treasure that I had a good long childhood, I just wish that kids now had that chance.
I don't mean to preach, I don't want to put anyone down. I just think kids would be safer and happier if they didn't grow up so fast.

That's just my 2 cents.

thank you all for reading, have an amazing day!

Me: Are You Going To Eat That?

I have a problem...

I am always hungry. I don't know why but ever since I had my baby and got over my lack of appetite and dizzy spells, I had an appetite with a bite! I am always hungry, I can eat a decent, filling dinner and be hungry an hour later. What is up with that? I just don't understand. I try my best not to be a total pig but really, as a stay-at-home mom, when I first get up and when my baby sleeps I am ravenous.
This isn't exactly boosting the effects of my new work out regimen. Which by the way I went from working out for 5 minutes to 8, then 11, and today I worked out for 15 minutes. Every day gets a little better. I'm sure snuffing out the cigarette habit is helping. I've only had one since I quit about 5 days ago, which is amazing now that I think about it! Usually by now I beg my husband until he buys me a pack. Which is great! Not only am I getting healthier, feeling and breathing better but I'm saving us money!
Money is a big thing in our house, which I hate! Money should be something that is just there, that you don't have to worry if you need new underwear, or a new shirt, to go out to dinner with your significant other! It should just be there.
This is one of the few things that bothers me about working out right now, we only have a $100 dollar food budget a month, so it makes it quite hard to buy the most healthy things. We can get little broccoli and cheese stuffed chickens that are a dollar each and a dish of parmesan noodles or some shells and cheese. We love to have corn, it's probably me and my husband's favorite veggie for dinner. We would buy more salad stuff if it cost less and didn't go bad so quickly!

I would love to eat healthier especially since it would compliment my workout schedule rather than cancel it out! I'm really looking to get fit.

Anyway, I am rambling again so if you have any suggestions especially about food shopping for health but on a tight budget or opinions please leave me a comment or email! I'd love to hear from you.

Thank so much for stopping by and have an amazing day!

Me: Wishin', hopin', thinkin' and plannin'!

I realized something today, I miss reading.

I've been trying to remember and have the motivation to read my leadership books everyday, that usually doesn't happen, but I would like to start doing that because it is good for my personal growth and for my business.

As far as my personal mind goes, I would like to read my leadership book each day so I would not feel guilty for pleasure reading because I really love reading vampire novels. From Anne Rice to Sherrilyn Kenyon and more, I love vampire books. Twilight I love, especially Twilight and Breaking Dawn. I need to re-read Eclipse because I don't remember too much of it and I'd like to brush up before the movie comes out because you know as a fan I'm going to want to see it.
I think I digressed! My main point is since becoming a mother 6.5 months ago I have really stopped reading almost all together, like I said, I read my leadership books at least once a week but other than that I only read articles and news online. I miss it so badly.
I've finally started packing to move in just a couple of weeks, the house is finally, (slowly) getting cleaner. I'm finally getting into the habit of picking up things immediately or soon after it happens to keep things clean. I noticed if I don't pick up something right away I tend to just not do it and that is how my apartment quickly becomes a trash dump. Especially if I don't take the opportunity of my daughter being in her swing happy or asleep than I don't get the chance to clean.

I'll cut off my ramblings here for today, I might update later, if not definitely tomorrow. I'm really enjoying the daily blog! I know that people are seeing this, even if they aren't commenting so THANK YOU!

I really appreciate you stopping by, feel free to comment with topic suggestions, opinions or critiques!

Me; Fitness:Envious? I am!

Hello Makeup Moms!

As I talked about in a previous post, I decided to quit smoking and start working out. I plan on working out every day either during my daughter's nap or after she goes down for bedtime at night. At first I just looked for a low impact cardio workout through google but I was looking on Hulu today and I found this pretty cool series called ENVY, it has a full body work out and then it has separate targeted workouts, buns ,arms, abs, etc.
Yesterday after my first workout after my last cigarette, my chest hurt, I was so out of breath, I was dyin'. I only got through 5 minutes the first time before I had to stop, but I tried out the full body work out of ENVY a little bit ago and I got through 8 minutes! It's great, it has weight resistance with nearly all the moves, great at using gravity to help you get a good workout (like squats), and it has these fit and pretty girls taking you through everything. And the great thing is, they aren't all twigs! Yes they are thin, fit and healthy but most of them are a good healthy weight, neither chubby nor skin and bone. So just like calling it ENVY, it's a pretty good motivator to see real women of a few different sizes (not over weight but from petite and slim to healthy but plump) doing the work outs.
I plan on doing this every day, all I did was one 8 minute workout and when I walk my thighs feel kind of wobbly and shaky, which to me is great, it means it worked!

So if you are like me, just had a baby, are overweight due to a baby or just genetics/poor decisions have left you overweight and frustrated and are ready for a change, I highly recommend these workouts.

http://www.hulu.com/envy-girls

If I can empower anyone to take the reigns of their health and start working out or quit smoking or just feel a little bit more secure in how they look and feel, it's a good day. Thank you so much for stopping by and listening to what is going on in my life. I really appreciate it, if you have any questions, comments, opinions or suggestions please feel free to let me know, I love to hear from you.

Thank you for making me part of your day.

Have an amazing day!

Baby: Baby Blues

Have you ever in your life thought, "I would love to never see Aunt Flo again!" That is one of the things I loved about my pregnancy, and about choosing to breastfeed my child. Aunt Flo got kicked to the curb for about a year and a half! It was so amazing, so freeing! But I have been recently nursing her less, she is almost 7 months old and is taking more formula and baby food now, plus my milk supply was never good, and for her to be healthy I had to supplement. But anyhooey, Today Aunt Flo decided to ring my doorbell once again. And I will tell you, I didn't miss her.

This is one thing I will love next time I'm pregnant, and all  I know is, once I am on normal birth control again, I'm getting the pills where I get 3 or 4 visits a month rather than every single month. See ya Aunt Flo!

Sorry for such a biological post but if you are a woman or a mom I'm sure you feel the same!

Thanks for stopping by and listening to me rant, I really appreciate it!

Have an amazing day!

Me: Oh It Burns So Good

I have been a smoker for about 10 years I believe. Being only 24, obviously the early years weren't even close to once I was legal age and beyond, but the habit was there.

I used to be in Tae Kwon Do, I was in that for I think 11 years, it's hard to keep track just because I was in it for so long I guess. When I used to work out in class, I could tell I smoked, I sweated hard (not just being overweight but because everyone worked hard :P ) my heart worked, blood pumping, and it felt good! I didn't always want to drag myself to class, but I always felt better afterward.

Well, I have been out of Tae Kwon Do for I believe 3 years now, so during that time I haven't been working out at all, so none of the toxins that smoking put in my body were being expelled through sweat, breath, and such. So recently I decided that since I can't afford a gym and walking around in Florida during the summer is like sitting in a sauna with a winter jacket on, that I was going to start working out once or twice a day with some low impact cardio while my daughter takes her naps or goes down for bed at night.

Tonight was my first go at it. Oh my sweet Lord. I don't think I have ever felt my chest and lungs burn this much, and I only did it for 5 minutes! I severely need to get into shape!

I haven't put on any weight since the baby, and I lost all the weight I gained with her, but I have never been happy with my weight. Over a size 18 is way too big of a hassle for me, especially clothes shopping! Any women been there?

So I wanted to start doing a short workout everyday, 15 minutes once or twice a day of cardio. But seriously though, 5 minutes? That is just embarassing, I have always been this big but even working out in Tae Kwon Do I never felt that bad of a burny-hurtyness in my chest, even being big and a smoker. Not working out for 3 years can really change you, it's amazing!

So I really want to quit smoking, not just to help me lose weight but to be healthy, feel better, and not risk illness anymore especially since I have a wonderful daughter and husband to be around for. So I was thinking about every time I crave a cigarette I should work out, even for 5 minutes, just to burn through it, feel better, accomplished.

What do you guys think? Would it be a good motivation and a good excuse for exercise or make exercising too negative?

I look forward to some input!

Have an amazing day!

Baby: What Sleep?

It's 5am and my baby didn't let me sleep more than 3 hours last night. She kept waking up, squiggling around in her bassinet or whining. I tried a bottle, rocking her. Breastfeeding her, nothing helped. Then she spit up on me. I don't know if she was gassy or had heartburn.
Finally after me and my husband were wide awake, I set her down with another bottle after changing her diaper and I haven't heard a peep! Although I am in the living room while she and the hopefully sleeping husband are in the bedroom.

Most of all I just hope that she is ok now and gets some sleep. I'm sure me and my husband need it more right now after going to bed at 1am but I hope my little one feels better.
I'm such a softy.

She just started sleeping alone in the past month, she used to sleep in bed with us but my husband was dead set on us getting cuddle time in bed before sleep again. So at 6 months I gave in and we started a bedtime routine to help her sleep on her own. It took about a week for her to stop waking up screaming in the middle of the night. Usually between 1 and 3am, then she started to sleep until 5am, then 6. Now if she wakes up during those times, she wiggles, whines/moans and goes back to sleep, she's been doing so good. I have to say it was hard at first hearing her cry for 15 minutes, but she sleeps better and so do we.

I still stand by the thought that you can't spoil an infant..... :)

Thank you for stopping by, hope I gave you a smile!

Have an amazing day!

When to Make-Up?

So when do you put on make-up? I tend to do it when my daughter goes to sleep at night, or during her nap. I have no where to go, no one to impress but I look good while making dinner!
Then by the time I go somewhere it has all rubbed off. Because I never have the time or the motivation to remove my make-up at night. I wonder how much leaving my make-up on effects my skin. If it does, I don't really notice it.

Oh well!

So when do you make-up?

Have an amazing day!

Artisty Cosmetics

Hello everyone today I'm finally talking about cosmetics!

My chosen brand is Artistry. I will say that I do sell it, but that isn't what my blog is about I promise! I'm not trying to sell you on my brand, I love the brand, the products are great, but if you have a specific brand of choice I'm not going to poke at you to buy mine! If you decide to purchase Artistry I will put the link somewhere on my blog and my youtube account so if you are interested you can check it out! I recommend it but I'm not going to shove it down your throat.

That being said, I hope once I get a video camera I can start showing you some makeup looks that I love to do with Artistry. Until then I hope to get many friends and lots of great conversation about the things we love.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have an amazing day!

The Clutter of LIFE!

Have you ever taken a good look around your house and wanted to scream?

This happens to me DAILY! I am not a dirty person, though I could be cleaner. Being a first time mom and wife, I find it hard to keep my apartment clean, though I love it being clean! I grew up in a house of clutter, granted my room was the always the worst of it, but my house wasn't dirty.  I feel like even when I do a rush of cleaning MADNESS it still looks cluttered!

There are papers on the dining room and coffee table that I never seem to find a place for, cup left by the husband, dirty baby clothes next to the couch. Baby stuff everywhere, clothes piling up on chairs.

Same thing with my bathroom, I have hair care products and clothes all over the bathroom sink! And the bedroom? Fogetta-bout-it! Sometimes I freak out thinking "I pray to God that no one shows up unexpectedly to see this mess!
So with all my ramblings done, does anyone else have these problems? Have you found a solution? What helps you to keep it clean, or at least manageable?

Thanks for stopping by and have an AMAZING day!

Postivity of the Day!

I think it is so important to be positive! I used to be so negative then I became part of an amazing organization and great friends in turn and it's just changed my life. World Wide Dream Builders. But that's not the point of this post!

Everyday I can go let my dog out and just smile, look at the trees, the sky and just be happy. Happy to be alive. It's a great feeling. If your mind is positive and you think this IS a great day, I AM a great person and I CAN do anything.

It really works! If you think something and believe it, your mind will find a way to make it happen so remember, be positive! Even when you feel like being grumpy!

This post is starting to remind me of Kandee Johnson, she is so positive and so sweet and I have no doubt her life is blessed because of it! In fact, I think I'm going to link her blog to mine so people can be exposed to such a wonderful person.

Also maybe a few other great people that i follow/subscribe to on youtube.

But anyway, I'm starting to ramble, you get that way when you talk mostly to a 6 month old baby! Thanks for reading, even if just one person, you are amazing and have a great day!!

Feeling like just a....Mom?

I don't know if any Moms would be reading this, if so, do you ever just feel like you are nothing but a Mom and the cook?

I feel like that sometimes, my husband works two jobs at the moment (only for a couple more months, yay!) But I have been having some trouble lately.

We have a 6 month old little girl and she is my life, and I love her so much, I wouldn't change having her for the world! But I do everything because of him working two jobs. I don't even make him take out the trash or grocery shop with me anymore! I used to never cook and now I do that too.
I just feel like he is looking at me more as the Mother of his child than his wife. I'm going to talk to him eventually but I don't like to burden him or take away his time off work and make it hectic or unhappy.

It's almost 10am and he'll be up soon, me and baby have been up since 8am, 'course she's been napping the past 45 minutes or so. But anyway, I think that's all I have to say today.

Thanks for listening!
